Kathleen's Story
I've never attended a reunion. Something always interfered.. I remember many folks at SHS,, not all.
I had several occupations. I taught in both high school & university. I worked in telecom mgt. at several Fortune 500 companies & as a contractor at NASA. (I was there when the Challenger blew up, watching. on TV---'Not my fault.) I've also delivered pizza, & leapt over a dead skinned goat on yet another job---I quit that one fast.. Life has been by turns adventurous & boring. Just one version of ordinary. I've been in politics & had some influence there., but turned down running for office a couple of times. I wrote for campaigns & stratagized.. I also wrote for organizations, .newspaper articles, and a couple of contests. (I won.) It has been a rather strange but ordinary life. I once mistook an admiral in formal evening dress (with tail coat) for a bell boy. He was very nice about it & said it happened all the time. (Somehow I doubt that, but he ...Expand for more
wasn't wearing ribbons or medals, & I was also in formal dress & much younger than he.---& also wearing a shoulder sash that said 'Ohio DAR Page '. -- He was the speaker.. I had asked him if he were " the one who had come to bring the water." He was quite sweet about it.))
I subscribed to this thing on a trial basis, but since on a regular basis it is rather expensive, and I live on a tight fixed budget, I doubt I'll keep it up.. I'M NOT on FACEBOOK , I and keep a very low profile.. Haven't received any messages, although I sent a few emails. I don't like to have a high or recognizable exposure on social media. But I can be found in old white pages, when there were such things. I have Caller ID and only answer phones whose name, number, or city I recognize. That's a land line. This is cell phone & I don't give out it's number. Is is usually also turned off unless I'm using it. Not unfriendly, just cautious and very suspicious -- as always,
