Kathryn's Story
Life
After graduating from VTHS in 1979, I attended Penn State University and graduated with a BA in English in 1983. I moved to PA in 1984 and have lived here ever since. I married my husband Larry one week after the VTHS 20th reunion; we've been married for 10 years (this is my 2nd marriage). We have one son, Troy, who is 7.5 years old. He is the best kid. We have 3 dogs; 1 (girl) Border Collie, Cabo (12 yr) and Duncan (10 yr) 1 (girl) Australian Cattle Dog, Brizzie (2 yr), and 1 (boy) Border Collie/Cattle Dog mix, Angus (14 weeks). vanced prostate cancer and there was no hope. Needless to say, it was a terrible holiday for us. In addition, I unfortunately lost my job with NCCN in Oct 2008. Larry is a 5.5-year-veteran of the Philadelphia Police force; he is on a special tactical squad in the 18th District, which is located near University of Pennsylvania. My sister Carol (VTHS 1983) has 2 boys; Paul (14 yr) and Ryan (11 yr). Carol is an RN and lives in PA, as do my mom and my stepdad. My father passed away 6 years ago; he had stage 4 esophageal cancer and my stepmom lives in Tom's River, NJ.
