Kathy's Story
I received my Bachelor's degree from Emporia State in 1973. Taught various places for 11 years, then switched to computer programming. Worked my way up to systems analyst, also was a first level manager for a while.
Was laid off in 2004, at which time I decided to try something different - I got hired by a local nursery to do apprentice landscape design for 3 months. During this time, I learned all I could about the ...Expand for more
landscaping business. At the end of the apprenticeship, I opened my own business, starting with personal gardening (gardening for other people).
Business has grown some just about every year. I am now a master gardener, and continue with the personal gardening and landscaping in Wichita, KS.
Married Scott Bagwell in 1991. Currently have 2 dogs: Lucy, a Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle mix, and Clementine, a Shar pei mix.
