Life
Divorced since 2001 ending after 23 years. 3 stepchildren and 7 step grandkids. I love to travel, photography of any sort, but began in prime clear waters of Bahia Honda, Cabo San Lucas or Cancun Mexico where I did my first dive ever, swam with sea lions & dozens of dolphins at Espiritu Santo Island off Baja California, Green Turtles in St Thomas USVI, danced & swam with Al the Dolphin in Cayman Islands, dove a wreck in the Caribbean, immersed at Pennekamp Park where all residents are underwater off Key Largo (originally known as White Rock until Humphrey Bogart's movie inspired the residents to change their name), & wrecks & reefs off the Keys & Caribbean. Been to Chichen-Itza & Cozumel. I love to read suspense novels including Harry Potter & authors Michio Kuko (physics), Clive Cussler, Dan Brown, Robert Fulgham & Paul Harvey. I am well known for my love of animals & understanding their behavior. I love art, creating my own "cubicle with a view" with scenes of sailing, beach combing, diving or holidays. I don't make my clothes much any more, but I do still have a distinctive style wardrobe. I make Swarovski Crystal element jewelry, being a member of the society (check out their website). I do own a small collection of various gemstones (Yellow Labradorite, chalcedony, diamonds, etc) with classic & designer cuts such as spinfire, checkerboard, Asscher, just to name a few. I am an American Cancer Society advocate since 2000 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I am now 20 years cancer free (6/1/2000). I campaign for Relay for Life as both survivor & Bosom Buddy. I also participate in Walk for a Cure Susan G Komen & any cancer related venues. For those who recall my short stories while in school, My high school sweetheart, Chuck Dobbins (class of '69), resides close by & we keep in touch. If you're in Lima, I am sure you've been to my cousin Harry's "Hideaway" on Cable Road. Tell Cindy, Becky & Harry I said hello! My heroes are Ironman, Transformers & Green Lantern! Wildest thing I ever did in High School? Ride Chuck's dune buggy "Crystal Blue Persuasion" in a dress with my long hair & going to an outdoor movie in winter with Dan Wolf, Dean Cox & his date! And uh, you remember how quiet, reserved & shy I was in high school? Boy, are YOU in for a surprise! I moved to Naples FL in Jan. 4 2012 for 3 years. Interesting town to live! Expensive as all get out, but great place to shop! I am currently a Sentinel for Heritage Action & member of Judicial Watch, active in Conservative Politics.
Workplace
My career started when I was 16, working at Acme Answering Service for $2 an hour & loved what I did, handling over 300 lines, forwarding messages, monitoring security systems, typed statements. After graduation, I moved to Florida where I did a variety of things such as tiling floors, stock transfer and Trust Secretary for Florida National Bank. In 1973, two opportunities beckoned. I posted for a job at Sears Roebuck at the same time submitted an application for the FBI & got the call from both the same day with job offers. I retired in 2009 after a successful career with many awards to my credit.
Where are Frank Laurita, & Richard Lucke, & Dan Wolf?
My first crush? He graduated from LCC, Paul Bender from St. Charles grade school! High school sweetheart, Chuck Dobbins, is still my dearest friend, keeping in touch every couple weeks. He's been there for me since I was 14, & he was 19. My cousin, David Hilty, introduced us in the school cafeteria & Chuck asked me out to dinner. We've helped each other through some tough times & always been there for one another regardless!
If I could do it over, I'd study Marine Biology, Political Science or Quantum Physics! I just love talking & learning about string theory!
