Kathy's Story
Life
I actually moved to Detroit my senior year and
graduated there, but Kenmore East has always been
my "Alma Mater".
After graduation, I joined the Navy and went into
Air Traffic Control. I was stationed at NAS
Jacksonville until my discharge in
1968. I currently live in a small community just outside
Bryan, Texas and have been in Law Enforcement for the past 25 years. In October 2001 I married William 'Bill' Furman (Class of '64) and we both are here in Texas. We found each other through Classmates after first meeting when I was 14 and Bill was 16.

rth son, whom I gave up for adoption in 1968. He came to Texas in May of 2004 to visit. In July of 2005 I flew to New England to meet my grandchldren and also his adoptive family.
On October 3,2008 my dearest Bill lost his battle with cancer and passed away here at home. Although we only had 7 short years together, they were the happiest for both of us. I retired earlier this year to stay at home and take care of Bill, now I am doing some part time pet sitting with a friend of mine, and spending time with my 2 rescued Golden Retrievers. (who have rescued me since Bill passed away)
