Kathy's Story

Well time for an update: I have moved from Port Orange, FL to Ormond Beach, FL. I have purchased a single family home with 1600 sq. ft. of space. Small 3 bedroom 2 bath home. Live in a really nice neighborhood where the homes were built in 1985. I have done major upgrades to the home already. Such as a pass thru windown with a butcher block for the counter between the kitchen and dining area. I have replaced the flourescent lights with LED recess lights and an LED rope light. I have purchased all new stainless steel appliances and a new washer and dryer The house had no appliances at all. I replaced the carpet in the master bedroom, part of the master bath and the carpet in the great room as well as a small hallway between the 2 other bedrooms. I have put in a doggie door for Molly my little dog who will be a year old come December 7. And I'm getting ready to put a "new" garage d...Expand for more
oor on the 2 car garage. And the house had no lights or ceiling fans when I bought it so I have added those to the great room and all 3 bedrooms. I have finished a quilt that a friend here in Florida quilted for me and it is going to go to a lucky person this Christmas in my family. I'm currently working on a second quilt that was quilted for me and that one will also go to a lucky person in the family this Christmas. My life is a busy one with the changes going on in and on the house I just bought. I still go to the gym 6 days a week but I have a trainer now 1 day a week instead of 2 or 3 days a week. I do plan on doing some traveling in Florida after the holidays are over. I want to get out and see the state a little bit even if it is just day trips or some over night trips. So my new retired life is busy very busy. I'm still unpacking and probably will be for a few more months yet.
