Kathy's Story
I grew up in St. Louis, lived on the corner of Gilmore until I was 15. I attended Nativity grades 1-8, attended one year at Northwest High School/Ofallon Tech.
I always try to look back at that time with a forgiving eye. It seems that classmates I had in grade school are still stuck in grade school.
Things change, people change, circumstances never are the same. I can say I certainly am not the same person I was then and strive to always improve myself.
I can just hear Walnut Park people, is that her, do you really think it is her, is that her hair, is she really slim, I bet that is an old picture. Do you think she had surgery.
Lets see, yes it is HER, yes that is HER hair, yes SHE is really slim, no the picture will not be a year old until Christmas 2008. BTW, yes SHE is 51 and yes that is the same Jones who did not back down from anyone. No SHE has not had surgery, of any kind!!!
Still pretty much the same, not as shy, not as backward, not afraid of confrontation but explores diplomacy before any other alternative.
My mother is 89 and still around. I am not that...Expand for more
close to my brothers, they live in Pittsburg Kansas, close to my mother. I live in a suburb of KC. My sons graduated from St Thomas Aquinas, my oldest is finishing his accounting degree at St. Marys College. My youngest plays football for a D1 university.
As for me, I have not been married for a number of years. I am an accountant and work for a man who has vast and varied business interests. Have a very quiet life, work, church and riding trails on my horse take up my time. I enjoy Gods creations and live my life in Him.
Life is good and I am thankful that I have a good God filled life, that my children are healthy, well adjusted and loved. My Ex Husband and I get along well and are there for our kids whenever they need us.
Other than that, not much going on. I would say most people from "back in the day" (as my kids say) would not know me if they saw me. I would just hope some of them would say Hi, once they knew who it was. We are not children anymore, we really should act like it.
God Bless all who I share this with, I pray His blessings on all of you.
