Kathy's Story
When I graduated from Pine Grove, I started HS at Lowndes County High School but changed to Valdosta High School the following year. I dropped out of HS my Jr. year and married Andy Rodgers. We divorced in 1969 and I moved to Tampa Fl and finished my education. Most of my adult life I traveled throughout the US with each company I worked for. I lived in Houston and Dallas Texas for 21 years before relocating to Sacramento CA where I met and married my husband, Bill in 1996. We moved to GA when he retired from the Attorne...Expand for more
y General's office in 1999 to be closer to my family. I worked for about 18 years in Human Resources Management and decided to retire 3 years ago. Between us we have 5 children and 7 grandchildren. My son died in 2005. He was part of the 82nd Airborne and had been deployed to Afghanistan. In 2009 my husband died of lung cancer. I met my current husband in Sandy Springs GA and we were married in 2018. We are currently living in Kennesaw, GA. I still have a hard time believing that it has been 54 years since I left Valdosta.
