Kathy's Story
Hi everyone! Can you believe we are in our 50"s? You know 50 is the new 30. I just wish my waist knew that. Oh, well, it is what is is. I hope everyone remembers me as nice and funny, not the wild child of the 70's. My story: I thought I knew it all at 17 and got married. That lasted 3 year's, but my oldest daughter Kellie (32) was the bright spot of that union. I have been married to Doug Joynt for almost 30 years. He is the kindest, funniest man God ever put on this earth. We still laugh with each other everyday. We have lived in Farr West for 14 years. I was blessed with 2 other kids, a girl Beth (25) and son Nick. Nick was killed in a hunting accident in Oct 2008. Hardest thing I have ever had to live through. r child. I am a Baptist and without my faith, I don't think I would be here today. It is easy to say we will see each other again, but it is harder to keep the faith when your heart has been broken. I have been a foster parent of 9 girls. I have worked for IRS for 30 years and retired from the Air Force Reserve. I am a Gulf War Desert Storm Vet. Yes, they send fat girls to Saudi Arabia. I have had a good life, other than my sons death, but I know God has a plan for me and it is not to be sad.
I relax by beading or making jewelry. I am actually quite good. We spend our summers campting and riding ATV's. I also like to travel.
If I could have one do over it would be to spend more time with my grandmothers as a teenager andf not let my son leave the house that day.
