Kathy's Story
Our second year is almost complete and I find life continues to give unlimited opportunities to love. This past year's growth in understanding, wisdom, knowledge and love is deticated to my dearest loves: Jesus, Steve and our parents.
Our relationships within our families have become even more valuable with the passing of time. There appears to be a shifting of roles, and yet...? No, as I look closely I realize: although time causes the body to wear down the Spirit becomes stronger. And so I see that our parents still are a strong force in our lives. Their strength is carried in humility and the pureness of their love.
These family relationsips have been the focus of our second year of life together.
First year of Life together:
Steve and I just celebrated our first year of the most incredible journey we've ever been on...Love, happiness, life. Steve took me to the mountain where we professed our love before God. We camped out under the stars. It was a Spiritual experience. Embraced in quietness and stillness, without distractions, we were provided an opportunity to be one with God, to be one with each other, we were given an intimate awareness of our life --- amazing!
The next morning I woke up early and began to hung...Expand for more
er after God's Word. One verse I read revealed mine and Steve's life together in this past year: "¶When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken." Deuteronomy 24:5.
My mom wrote on our anniversary card..."Where did the last year go?" Well it went where it was support to go, every moment has been a moment I cherish, a breath of life. I'm reminded and understand more completely: "¶But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." 2 Peter 3:8.
Love has no limitations. All things are possible with love.
The Beginning of new life:
My daughter's marriage inspired in me belief, an open heart and the desire to reach out. Thanks to computers and "Classmates" I was able to connect with the love of my life and dreams, the one I knew existed and my heart sought after. Steve and I met some 40 years ago, he was a good friend of my brother's, and I, the little sister. Now I am the joy of his life as he is the joy of my life. He is incredible, the realization, of all that my heart knew to be ture, now is.
