Kathy's Story
I attended Union-Endicott High School, Henry B. Endicott Junior High School and George H. Nichols Elementary School .in Endicott, New York. My family moved to High Point, North Carolina in April of my Junior year at UE. While In High Point, I attended Central High School (CHS), but only for about 3 months. I didn't want to spend my Senior year at CHS as the new kid who didn't know anyone so they allowed me to take Senior English in summer school, and I was able to graduate a year early. Then it was back to my home town of Nashville, TN where I attended David Lipscomb University along with my brother Jerry who was in his Junior year. Eventually all my family moved back to Nashville and we all still continue to live in the beautiful city called Music City USA.
I work in Marketing for Sony Pictures Home Entertainment / Ingram Entertainment and have been with them over 23 years. I absolutely love my job in the home entertainment business. We sell videos (Spider-man, The Patriot, 22 Jump Street, Men in Black, etc...Expand for more
.) to video stores, grocery and drug chains, mass merchants, internet / e-commerce accounts, etc.
I have been married to my husband Mike for over 40 years. We have been blessed with a beautiful daughter Amy who is 37, the most wonderful son Chris who is 34 and a precious granddaughter Leni who is 9. Oh and of course, our dog Annie.
Here is a little tidbit about Mike and me. I was 23 and Mike was 27 when we met. We met on a Wednesday night, we had our first date on Friday, he asked me to marry him the next Tuesday and we got married 6 weeks later and have been married over 40 years. See miracles do happen.
Mike has been in the food industry ever since we married in 1975. About 5 years ago he started his own food brokerage business McKee Food Brokerage. He brought our son Chris into the business last year and Mike is now semi-retired. By the way, our daughter Amy works with me so I guess you can say we keep it all in the family.
To all my friends and classmates at UE......thanks for the memories.
