Kathy's Story
Life
Well, let's see. It's been a loooooong time since High School. I am working full time at the Baptist Daycare in Carl Junction. I have worked there for 32 years. I love all of the children there and have raised at least half of the children in Carl Junction! I have never gotten married (or dated), I am almost the same size I used to be, but need to change that. (Type 2 Diabetic) Since the Deaths of my Mother and Brother within 2 weeks of each other in 2007, my Niece Kara and her husband Joe live with me. She moved back here after her Daddy (My oldest Brother Kerry) passed away. We moved to Reeds, MO early in 2017. I LOVE the Lord and look forward to meeting up with my Dad, Mom and Kerry in Heaven some day!! I love to sing and travel too! I haven't been traveling as much since Mom passed away. She could ride places, but couldn't walk once we got there. We have been traveling to the State Parks in Missouri and Arkansas. There is some BEAUTIFUL country within driving distance! I also love to camp and fish but haven't had the time lately. I miss it, because I g...Expand for more
rew up going to the river or creek almost every weekend and for 3-4 weeks straight in the summer! I love to go to Craft Shows, Gift Shops and Antiques Places.I love to plant flowers and take care of them and I also love bird watching. (excitement is my middle name!) I have lots of dogs at my house, some mine (2), some theirs(9). We also have goats. I am so happy to be living the country life again.
Workplace
I love working at the Learning Center! I open the Center at 6:00 a.m. every day (rain, sleet or snow!). I teach the 4/5 Pre-K Class and those children are the BEST! They give you so much unconditional Love! They are so eager to learn at that age and make each day new and exciting! I would say I'm fairly happy in my career-- the only drawback is working with that many women, there is a lot of PMS floating around!! It only takes one or two bad attitudes or someone not doing their job like they should, to ruin a perfectly good day! The children MORE than make up for those times though. Semi-retirement might be kind of nice! (Full Retirement is a FANTASY!)
