Kathy's Story
Life
My Pet
She is a cockapoo terrier mix named Pepper. She is a very loving dog. She is actually my parents' dog, but I claim her as my own. I also feed a family of stray cats that have taken up residence in my neighborhood.
My Job
I am a teacher at Allegany High School. I teach biology and chemistry.
School
I went to Kindergarten at the old Kindergarten Center on Frederick Street across from Sheetz. I went to elementary school at Gephart. I went to Washington Junior High School and then on to Allegany High School.
College
I got my Bachelor's Degree from Frostburg State University in Biology and Education. I also have a Master's Degree in Education in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Techn...Expand for more

Workplace
I did work study while I attended Frostburg State University. Also while going to FSU, I worked summers at State Highway Administration in the office. I have worked at Spherix (formerly Biospherics) on the Federal Information Center contract and presently on the Michigan Department of Natural Resources contract. I have taught science at North Carroll High School in Hampstead, Maryland. I came back to Allegany County in 1999 to teach science at the Career Center. I have also been a substitute teacher with Allegany County Schools. I have had a long term sub position in math at both Washington Middle School and Braddock Middle School. I am now a permanent science teacher at Allegany High School.
