Kathy's Story
After graduating from CMU, I married and moved to Pennsylvania where I lived until 1989. I moved to northern Michigan, a small town called McBain, and have been teaching middle school there for the past 20 years. I also teach English and speech classes at night at the Cadillac campus of Baker College.
I have three children- Kristen, age 30 and her husband, Drew,age 31, and Kourtney. Kristen and Drew have just relocated to Muncie Indiana from Georgia. Kristen finished her doctorate and is an assistant professor at Ball State. Drew is a high school history/civics teacher. My yo...Expand for more
ungest daughter, Kourtney, will be 27 soon and lives in Chicago. She is an operations manager for the Darden Corporation, working at the Capital Grille in downtown Chicago.
At McBain I also teach and coach the HS debate team. It is a wonderful experience for me and seems to be wonderful for my debaters as well.
I am still a huge U of M football fan, an avid reader, and a collector of music of almost any kind. My mom still lives in Flint, so I spend a lot of time in my old neighborhood. Nothing is the same there, but my mom won't leave her home. So....
