Kathy's Story
Life
Life takes strange turns for many of us, which is why I always get a kick out of young people who think they have their whole lives planned. My first marriage ended nearly 18 years ago, but I have 4 wonderful children as a result of that time! I am lucky enough to have 2 sets of twins: identical sons, 28 years old, and fraternal daughters, 26 years old. The youngest of the bunch has already provided us with 2 great grandsons (while she and her husband graduated college and worked!)
I married Chris in 2003, but we had been friends and co-workers since 1989! We now go to work together, as well as live together, and I can't imagine not having him aroun...Expand for more
d. He's a great grandfather, too. We are both professional librarians, which may sound really boooorrrring to some; but we like it and the life fits us. Other than reading and family, my favorite passion is genealogy. The hunt and detection is the fun part; I'm lousy about actually publishing anything.
And for those of you that remember I won the "Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow" award at NHHS in 1970--I'm right up there with one of the best WORST housekeepers in the world.
Chris and I love to travel together and bought a camper van last year; just the right size for our simple tastes. It's already taken us as far as Maine and about 15 other states.
