Life Since I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up anyway, I'm gratified to see that after 30 years I've managed to stay right on track! After an odd set of career postitions that evolved from working in retail stores, to buying for retail stores, to developing product for retail stores, and ulitimately writing advertising for retail stores, it all managed to moosh together into an estate liquidation business that seems to call on all of those experiences just about every day. With my husband, we buy estate contents and sell them both online and in-house. We've live in a cute little farm house where we can run our business, and where our dogs can run for hours. It came with a barn to store our inventory, and we're still looking around for that Rembrandt that's hidden in somebody's attic. The closest we've come is to finding rare turn-of-the century cigar label samples that were purchased by a collector for over $20,000! At least I get to work in my jammies when I want to, can take my lunch break to watch People's Court, and usually only have to work 7 days a week (but sometimes only for 10 - 16 hours a day).
