Kathy's Story
Kathy is from Little Rock, Arkansas. She is Married with Rex DeLaune. Her schools include Hall High School. She later attended University of Central Arkansas and studied Have degrees in Elem. and Spec. Educ.. She works(ed) at Jim c bailey middle school.
Kathy's interests include reading magazines, Surfing the Internet, Teaching Middle School Special Ed, I don't play them I just watch!! :), Atlanta Braves, Southeastern Conference, Tampa Bay Rays. Music she likes includes Redmond Keisler Band, Elton, Mamas & The Papas. Books she likes include Bible, Blossom Street Series, House Rules. Movies she likes include People Like Us, My Fair Lady, Walt Disney Studios. TV shows she likes include Modern Family, HGTV, Private Practice.
More about Kathy:"I am not working anymore, YEAH! At the moment I am just being a wife and mom to our youngest while she finishes college. And that won't be long. Ryan and Jess both got married in the summer of 2010. Jess in May and Ryan in August. Ryan married Rachel Smith and she could not be more perfect for him. Both, Ryan and Rachel are ministers at Grace UMC in Gainesville, FL. Ryan is doing is "Dream Job",as an Associate Pastor of College Ministry and Rachel is also an Associate Pastor of an assortment of ministries. They are always busy and are loving their new jobs. They are both able to preach at least once a month. Jess married Charlotte Robuck. She is a Kindergarten teacher in the Tampa area while Jess is in medical school at USF. Charlotte is an awesome teacher and wife to Jess. God blessed us with two precious daughters-in-love! Both boys are very happy and loving what they are doing.

school special education teacher. I taught reading, to 7th graders and learning strategies to 6th, 7th & 8th graders. I also taught Math, and Language Arts. Middle schoolers are, for some, a great challange and for others a joy. They are both to me. They make me laugh and cry. I think it's just cause they are kids, and Kids are MY heart. Do I want to take them home with me? Hummmmmmm, not really, but maybe 1 or 2. :) Am I glad to be "retired"? YES!! Though I will miss the kids, I will not miss the stress that goes along with it!
Before teaching middle school, I was a stay at home mom for 19 year. That was the joy of my motherhood. I was able to be room mom for many of the kids' teachers and volunteer in the classrooms. And, yes I was in the PTA, even the president. But even before that, I taught 4 years before and the 1st year after our son was born.
I lost my daddy the summerof 2008. I spent most all summer in Little Rock with my dad. He was in the hospital fighting pneumonia on a respirator. He died on July 29. My mom and I were with him when he died. It was a very peaceful death. He was off the respirator and was asleep. He and mom were in bed together watching late night TV. Dad was very fitful and fought going to sleep. I think he knew. Finally he drifted off, and about an hour or so later, he breathed his last breath.
I am so glad and thankful I was with him. My dad has always been my hero. It was hard to let him go. I miss him terribly. I know he is in heaven with so many frends and family probably running a TV station if there is one. I know we will be together one day again. That will be a glorious day.".
