Kathy's Story
Life
Graduated Newtonbrook SS in 1977. Was CoEditor of yearbook for a couple of years with Gladys O'Brien. Guess I was one of the browners/nerds. Hung around with Pam Salsberg, Linda Salem and still go out to coffee with them and get together with their families for various events.
Went to University of Toronto to study Life Sciences. Graduated as a chiropractor in 1987, from CMCC in Toronto. Met and married Jay Lerner (Downsview SS) and have two terrific children, Carly (8 and a half ) and Philip (4 and a half). is at Rosedale Heights PS in Thornhill. Philip was diagnosed as moderate autistic afte the age of 2. We begged, borrowed but did not steal, to give him private ABA therapy (no use waiting for the government!) and naturopathy..........and now he's pretty much a normal kid with a few quirks, in JK and reads at the level of Grade 1, yaps up a storm and is just a fun, happy kid. His sister Carly has had a lot to do with his improvements. She's loving, fiercely protective and loves her brother to death....sometimes being quite a mother/smother.
Jay and I live in Thornhill, and are quite happy here!
