Katie's Story
Life
Well, I've done a lot in the years since I graduated from high school. I attended Trinity College in Washington, DC (an all-woman's private Catholic college) and graduated in 1997 with my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. Also, I received my Master of Arts in Secondary Mathematics Teaching at Trinity the following year. During my junior year of undergrad, I met a wonderful guy, Ted Andrews, who graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, DC back in 1995. We moved down to South Florida (that's right...by the beach...it's Dec. and still in the 70's/80's) from the Washington, DC area in April 1999. Ted and I wed in October of 1999. I worked for a publishing company (LRP Publications in Palm Beach Gardens, FL) as an editorial statistician until the birth of my first son. I was (for five years) a stay-at-home mom until recently. he tigers), Wolf and Crescenda, and one mixed breed rescue cat, Phoenix. We did purchased our very first home in Jupiter, FL back in July 2000. It reminds me very much of Northfield since the house we bought is in a rural horse farm community.
Currently, I re-entered the Corporate world working for Office Depot Corporate Headquarters here in South Florida as one of their Loss Prevention/Fraud Analysts. It's definitely an adjustment going from being a full-time stay-at-home mom for over 5 years to working with an hour commute each way. But it's worth it! I'm ready to rebuild my career again.
Tina Bonnett (now Tina Campbell who just became divorced) moved down to my neck of the woods. It's been a blast! She's more of a sun-worshipper than I am:) She's never looked better in her life with her new way of eating and fitness lifestyle. I continue to see my best friend, Dawn Sevene Boucher, at least twice a year (at least once at Disney World). She has a beautiful red-haired son, Ethan (3 yrs.), a second son, Owen, (18 months old) and a sweet husband, Steve.
