Katrina's Story
Life
I got a job right out of High School, where I worked for 13 years. I went from Customer Service Rep, to A/R Credit Manager, to Executive Secretary. That job put me through college, and I later took on a career in Accounting. I met my wonderful husband in September of 1992 and we married after a short courtship (ha! ha!) of almost 7 years on July 17, 1999. We did buy a house shortly before that in November of 1997. I left my job just before my daughter was born in September of 2000 and never looked back. Although I do still keep in touch with a few people. I stayed home with my daughter until she was 16 months old, it was wonderful! Although I really enjoyed being a stay at home mom, the industry that my husband was working in fell through the floor. I LOVE my job as an Operations Manager for a framing construction company, and think I will be here for a very long time!
Today I enjoy spending time with my family. Every Sunday my husband, daughter and I get to enjoy a breakfast out with my Mom, older brother Alan and h...Expand for more
is wife Cyndy. My husband plays a lot of indoor and outdoor softball that we attend, and our daughter plays soccer and all girls softball (tee ball is out....because she doesn't want to play with boys!), as well as continuing in gymnastics. As for myself, I enjoy my Pilates and Cardiovascular workouts, and, of course, shopping (much to my husbands dismay, my daughter likes shopping as much as I do, he always says....she's such a "girl").
In July 2005 I was able to take part as a volunteer for ABC's Extreme Home Makeover in Fairfield, CA for the Tom family. The company I work for took part in the framing of the home. It was such an incredible experience, and those guys worked so hard! We got to be there for the reveal and it was so incredible to see the family and their joy as they saw their new home live. An experience I will never forget. We watched intently to see ourselves on TV....lol. We did see a couple of guys with the company and my boss a few times, along with my sister during the reveal....gotta love TIVO....lol
