Katrina's Story
Life
I currently reside in Newport News, VA with my boyfriend, Bundy, and our pitbull named Diamond. We had a pet scorpin named Capone, but he died a few months back.
No kids at the moment and I think Jessica and I are the only ones from high school without any.
School
My biggest crush was AJ Corbin. He played on the baseball team at GHS and then went to NSU.
I inspired Mr. Zuger for teaching African American History when no one else would.
I would do it all over again if I could. I would even redo prom. I did not enjoy myself because of my date.
My funniest, craziest moment in school was when I fell in the hallway at GHS. No one saw me, but I laughed the whole day.
The happiest moment in college was when my mother saw me walk across the stage at ODU graduation in 2004. I even cried.
College
I am currently enrolled at Old Dominion University in the Master of Science in Psychology program. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree from ODU also.
My unique roommate wa smy first roommate in college who had a crazy boyfriend. When I saw crazy, I mean crazy.
The food was so great that I gained ...Expand for more
a freshman 30, I think!
I actually did study everyday when I lived in the dorms, but that stopped as soon as Tye and I got together with Jalonda and Tawyana in Powhatan. COFFEE was such a good friend to me.
GOing to NSU sweatbox was the best though. ODU parties were wack.
Workplace
I am also employed at the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Community Service Board as a Mental Retardation Direct Support Provider; the Ted Constant Convocation Center with Event Staff; and I am a licensed Cosmetologist.
I never have just one job. I wouldn't be Katrina if I did. The burger flipping thing was high school (McDonalds, Burger King) and the phone thing was undergraduate (SSRC, DOminion Calling Fund).
I've never had a real office, but my car feels like it should be one. I travel so much between Gloucester and Newport News, and Norfolk that 64 should be my address.
Only one more year until I have my Master's degree, but knowing me, I'll be right back for my Phd.
Military
No military experience here except for the military men. LOL. Not all of them are married and trying to holler at you, but most of them are and say they're not.
