Kay's Story
Life
Sometimes I think about things like Junior-Senior Prom, performing in "Roar of the Greasepaint," or sitting in Mr. Oaks physics class, and it feels like they just happened yesterday . . . I feel like I am the same person, but with a lot more experience!
I graduated from CU Boulder in 72, worked at a delicatessen to save money, and then set out for Europe in early 73. Those were the days - - what an adventure! I was a teacher at Berlitz School of Languages in LA, and then traveled to South America with a Japanese...Expand for more
friend. I worked for the federal government as a claims rep., and then worked for most of my career as a programmer-analyst, taking "breaks" to teach - - mostly special ed. I was married for almost 20 years, had a wonderful daughter, now 25. I have been divorced for 12 years now, and have dated, but just haven't met "the one" :-)!
These days, my passions outside of work are singing (or at least enjoying the attempt!), exercise (walking, NIA, and aerobics), and some writing (especially haiku) and freelance editing.
