Kay's Story
Life
My Spouse
My husband, Larry Day, and I have been married now for 21 years. Larry is a REALTOR in Clear Lake, Iowa. He graduated from Waterloo West and UNI and has a MBA in Math. He taught in high school before becoming a real estate broker.
My Kids
I have 3 children of my own-- Dee, Mike and Jay-- and 2 stepchildren, Corey and Mindy. We now have 6 grandchildren ranging in age from 1 1/2 to 17 years and another on the way! I LOVE being a grandmother! Three of our chil...Expand for more
dren and all but one grandchild live in Iowa. Mindy and her husband live in Los Angeles and Jay and his wife and little girl live in Seattle, WA.
My Job
I went on to Buena Vista College in Storm Lake and, after we moved to Clear Lake, IA, I was a REALTOR for a number of years and was elected as V.P. of the Iowa Association of REALTORS. In 1983, I joined Principal Financial Group and was Client Relations Officer when I retired 3 years ago.
