Kay's Story
Life
Wow, it's been a long time! I've often wondered what happened to many of you! What happened to me? Well, it goes like this...Ricky Wilson and I married when we were WAY too young, we had two beautiful kids (girl/Brandi and boy/Jamie), we divorced early-on, but managed to remain friends. After 15 years of being a single-parent, I married again and became a "Bryan" in '95! Still with me? Being a single parent wasn't so bad, I actually enjoyed raising my kids in Rockwall, Texas. Eventually we settled down in Austin, and I absolutely love it here! I work for an investment advisory firm and have been with the company for 10 years, I must really love my job! I've worked in the administrative field for 25 years now. In this stage of my life I'm entering the world of "Nanna-hood" (3 grandkids, thanks to my son Jamie), and I'm enjoying every minute of it. My daughter is taking that part of her life pretty slow! In a nutshell, life is good! To anyone reading this, don't be shy...please contact me because I would love to hear from you...actually anyone from my past for that matter! Smiles, Kay Bryan
School
I'm not going to have a lengthy list of all my educational accomplishments like some of you! Those of you who do are the smart ones, in more ways than one. To be honest, I enjoyed school, but for all the wrong reasons. I graduated by the skin of my te...Expand for more
eth; and a price was paid for taking that route. That pretty much sums up my school experience. I attended Cedar Valley College in Lancaster for a brief stint, long enough to get a jump start. Today my specialty is project management and office administration. Most of my lessons were learned from life experiences, and that's about all I have to say about that. I had to play catch up, but made it; and that's what matters today!

Workplace
This could be a long drawn out bio, but I'm going to save you the boredom. My expertise is in project management and office administration so I've enjoyed the luxury of not being locked into one career path. Therefore, I've experienced working in the world of insurance (double yuck! For 2 years), the strange world of plastic surgery (the answer to your question is no I did not, I was too chicken, 2 years), the oil and gas industry (What a ride, 2 years), real estate development (another wild ride, 4 years), the emergency physician environment (great learning curve, 10 years), and finally the world of investments for almost 10 years now and still at it. I presently serve on the Board of Directors for the Capital Chapter of International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP). Whew! Yep, I've been around!
