Kay's Story
Life
My Spouse
I catered his best friends wedding, and about 10 years later remet and the rest is still to come.
My Pets
Luna, Karma and Bob are Dad and Brothers. Lu is 12, Karma and Bob are 8. They're Goldens. Shmoo is a yellow tabby who rules the barn. Bobcat is a rescue who had his tail snapped off in a door. Haley is a ton of Percheron mare. She is 18 hands tall and a hunter/jumper. We built a 20,000 gal. pond in the yard for swimming and fish. No chlorine, just filtration. Way cool.
The birds are a pair of Chinese Red Golden Phesants.
My Kids
They are the best. Ray is the oldest and is back in Hibbing and owns a local watering hole. He spent 2 years in the Navy and after seeing the world came home. Katherine has her certification in Vetrenary Technology and is a mortgage banker. She has a beautiful daughter, my granddaughter, Ashley Marie. Katherine is living in North Port, Fl. which is great...Expand for more
when the cold and snow get to me. My mom and I toured Ernest Hemmingways home on Key West, and actually got to peek into his closet. Cheap thrill, but none the less a thrill. Mom, at almost 86 years was singing along to Jimmy Buffett and his "one particular harbor" and can't wait to go back to the island. It was so much fun, I can't even tell you. After walking the island all day, during the Rainbow Ralley, we partied at Papa's on Duval St. to. What a jam packed few days. FUN!!!
Time to update, 3yrs later...Mom passed away, at home, in July of '06. Son Ray is now married to Jenny and they have a beautiful son, Nate. Their business is thriving and all appears well. Daughter Katherine is still in Florida and never misses an opportunity to let me know she is calling from the beach. That usually happens when it is -10 or so. My Granddaughter will graduate from High School in the spring. Now that is a trip!!
