Gonna tell you 'bout a story 'bout a gal named Kay,
The same ol' gal that you knew from yesterday.
I moved to Mount Shasta, way back in '98,
And beauty surrounds me, it must have been my fate.
Blue sky, streams, rural setting, is all I really need,
Life in the country is splendid indeed.
I tend to my kids, and the garden and critters,
I shovel the snow when the winter is bitter.

With both of us home now, humor is a must.
You'd think I'd find a job writing stupid little rhymes,
For Hallmark or some other greeting card line.
But I'm just enjoying the life of a hick,
The peace and tranquility is such an awesome pick.
I hope you will write to me, tell me 'bout your life,
I hope it is joyful and carefree from strife.
