Kaye's Story
I was only at Wasson for one year-my senior year. I grew up as an Air Force Brat and went to first grade at a French Convent in Baghdad, Iraq; 2nd grade in Bellevue, Nebraska; Mt. Eden in Hayward California and Acalanes in Lafayette,California; Washingtonville Jr. High and HS near Newburgh (Stewart AFB) New York ,and Johnson AFB, Japan, and Grant Heights (Tokyo) Japan (Camp Drake Jr. High) with some of the members of Wasson's senior class of 1965.
Since high school, I taught dancing for Arthur Murray Dance Studio where I met my husband of 40 years! We then got married, had a family and moved out of state to Kansas. I worked for Cessna aircraft for a few years before getting my Cosmetology license and did hair for a couple years before I chose to do nails full time. It's been fun and profitable but I am now semi-retired (just 2 days a week) since my husband retired from Cessna.

d arts and crafts and still crochet and do oil paintings and photo editing. I still find it hard to find free time even though I am semi-retired. I play the stand up bass and my husband plays guitar, mandolin, dobro, and a little piano and banjo. We play for one of the nursing homes in our area as part of a group (5 of us). We also are always looking for people to jam with. We have several groups we play with through church and a couple music organizations we belong to We also still love ballroom dancing and now qualify for the senior dances that they hold around here!! I can remember teasing my husband because he was old enough to go to the Over 28 Club dances and I wasn't. Now here we are! Golden-Agers!
I have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. With all my computer time I still have not located most of the crowd I used to run around with. Hopefully I will see some familiar faces or names on this website.
