KCB's Story

Contact me through classmates.com and I will fill you in. Noteworthy all my pics except HS pics from 80-82 were taken from 3-2008 to present and ongoing, nothing is earlier than 2008. I get asked this so I put this disclaimer in my story. I didn't like to take pics prior was in a weight battle for years and since I got it under control I'm making up for lost time. Note: Okay I made some changes to this as of March 25, 2010. I was looking to find out what happened to classmates I thought about, I have many HS friends I hope to locate Michelle Watts C/O 82, and anyway I mentioned some names and out of respect to the fact that these people especially the males may have familes and etc. I in no means want to send out the wrong impression. I have removed two brother's full names, one I did not know S. Robinson the intent was if you find one you find the other, and one I knew of W.A. Robinson. I lived across the street from the school on the 108th Street side directly across from the old gym, I would often sit outside with friends and watch the buses load up for the football games etc, and people watch and socilaize. In 1985 I married Q. Ellis Sr. We have 4 children all by the same father, three who are adults Sons 22, 26,28 yrs old. One was married now divorced ( no longer with) and I became a grandmother 5 years ago for the first time Oct 14, 2008. I had two remaining at home in HS, C/0 09 Matthew then I'm done last one finishes C/O 2011 Skye, my daughter is off at her University Okay only one remaining at home who won't leave, lol the youngest son, I got to get him going. lol My sister's are Nicole Bell C/0 83 Washington HS and Lorraine Bell C/0 81 she left Washington her Sr. year and finished at Morningside HS the C/0 81 I don't socialize with either one of them. I have been very fortunate and have had a blessed life and lifestyle since HS along with normal ups and downs, so I could've done with out, but they made me who I am. No complaints I grew up in Ingelwood CA and attended Elem, and Jr. High and part of HS in Ingelwood I attended Clyde Woodworth Elem I was class Secretary c/o 76, Monroe Jr. HS c/o 78 and 1 1/2 yr at Morningside and 1 semester at Ingelwood HS before finishing at Washington HS C/0 82. Shoutout to my favorite teacher of all time who inspired me to study business Mr. Farris one exceptional teacher Washington HS. He doesn't know this but he has been influential in my life since HS. He taught me and showed me that my gift was in business and accounting and my abilities were vast. All Generals who attended night school for basic subjects in the trailers English, Math etc, I worked adult school for 2 years grading papers 1980-1982 at night helping all Generals who needed to make up credits i...Expand for more
n order to graduate on time. This is somethig I'm happy I had a chance to assist with, many took testing over and over and the exit exams to be able to graduate and walk and succeeded. Also note: I'm no longer Shy and in fact I'm very assertive these days in a good way. The norm for me is I mind my own business, but if you come disrespectful expect the unexpected.I love Sports Football and Basketball, I am a Utah Jazz and Dallas Cowboy Fanatic. Go COWBOY'S, GO JAZZ we will be back. LOL I'am so happy to encounter likeminded people, I try and answer everyones notes and I appreciate the kind words and friendships. I was taught to help people and this I can say in my lifetime I truly have, rewarding and some to almost my detriment . I have learned to week off opportunist who have come for my help, need and kindness with hidden agendas. I have long lost friends on here I reunited with a few years ago Tonya Hill a dear long lost friend LA HS Grad and I was so grateful that she contacted me Dec 2008 thanks to Classmates. I really missed her we were great friends in Jr High, early HS we loss touch when I moved away to Inglewood.Tonya thank you for contacting me I missed you so much.So many Candance Evans, Mt Vernon Jr. High and countless other's, the list goes on. I have lost my adult former foster daughter she passed Dec 2011 she was murdered by her boyfriend at 24 yrs old, my Father Curtis Bell passed March 11, 2012, they went on to be with the Lord, a Bestfriend whom I thought was a bestfriend of 22 plus year they didn't passaway just showed me who they really were, so another death is what that felt like,it was more material and greed and self-centered and the come-up on their part, they lacked self love, they never had love in their life and nurturing, so they felt entitled to get it from me and other people.. Learned a lot these last few years, my children's father has battled reoccuring cancer a few times and is surviving going strong, just had a freak accident Nov 2012 survived that, he just had another surgery 3/2014 survived that. I am reinventing and getting my smile back taking care of my own health, My children are thriving all grown. My grandson is pure joy and I see people and things for what they really are eyes wide open these days. I don't have time for people trapped and loss in their bitter and hurtful stories of the past. I forgive all and I move on. I release all negativity cast worries, fears and doubts on to the Lord. I am a better person for going through the last 2 years plus and I am still standing. Onto the next Chapter. I am back attending college and I am at peace. I plan to be volunteering my time helping people who really need help. I fly solo and I like it like that, I am at peace. May God Bless you all. Kim
