Keith's Story
Life
After high school, I went on to veterinary school at the Univ. of Illinois. From there I did a small animal internship in Springfield, MA then a veterinary ophthalmology residency in Akron, OH (actually in Richfield, OH). During that residency, I discovered that I was more interested in human ophthalmology. So I quit and went to med school at The Ohio State University. I did my internship in Columbus, OH and then went on to a residency in ophthalmology in New Orleans. I joined Ochsner Ophthalmology department for a brief time (8 months) but I could not stand the bureaucracy so I joined a private practitioner just south of New Orleans. I met the love of my life while in Richfield, OH. We lived together for about 6 years and then got married in Barbados in 1998. We now have a beautiful 6 year old daughter who is the joy of our lives. She is so funny and smart (yes I am bragging). About 3 years ago I was born again and God has blessed me beyond belief. It is amazing the joy and peace you get when you turn your life over to God and put your trust in Jesus. As long as we keep our eyes on Jesus, we won't sink below the waves of the storms in our lives. I never cease to be amazed at the honest-to-God miracles I have witnessed. And I tend to be a skeptic so it is even more amazing when I see these things happen. Life just keeps getting better and better.
