Keith Peterson:  

Reminding you of who I am: I used to play a little guitar here and there with a very aggressive playing style. First two years of high school didn't go well--too many drugs. I clung to music during 11th and 12th grade. I played in Mike Dewhirst's band at the Freshman Welcome Dance, September 1972, and a few jazz band concerts. When my mother passed away earlier that July, my thought processes changed, giving way to my spiritual experience in March 1973. I put off quite a few people with my ignorance--but I think I have a good handle on it now. I am in your 1973 Yearbook with that indellible caption, "Jam on, Keith Peterson"--I still do, more than ever. Where I've been: While it is rather lengthy attempting to recount thiry-eight years, I can give a general journey which led to now. I was employed at a power transmission store for a couple of years. In 1975, I bought a Peterbilt diesel truck and worked as an owner/operator at Guthmiller in Union City. I got married in November, 1975 and have a son and a daughter from that marriage. I began my floorcovering career soon after selling my truck in 1976. I moved up to Washington State in 1979--my ex-wife and I seperated that October. I formed a band in January 1980 and recorded a single in Seattle. The band lasted about a year. I kept up on my practices. In late 1981, my ex-wife and I tried to start over, moving to Oklahoma. It was there I got a job as a computer programmer at the Airport Sheraton, meanwhile my trusted buddy in Seattle had stolen all of my music gear and pawned it. The marriage reconciliation failed; when my ex-wife ran off with a local cable TV installer, along with the kids--I returned to Washington State in June 1982.
