Keith's Story
I was an English/Social Studies teacher way, way back during the inaugural year (1977) and taught for 2 more years (1978-1979) at Birchwood Junior High School. We were a bunch of young teachers back then straight out of the starting gate, ready to conquer and change the world with our classrooms of eager, young minds. Watching the news of the recent disaster which befell this community, I felt compelled to reach out and offer my condolences to all those who have lost their homes and/or businesses. Such a beautiful town. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Fort McMurray right now.
And for those of you who remember me, you may recall that you were always and still are a part of "my best class".
