Workplace Oof. Briefly, then. I graduated and got a job down in Maryland, working on the superfund site at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds military base, doing underground storage tank removals. Working on the Chesapeake, watching the sun come up ... too beautiful. Good job, great co-workers, lousy boss. I married, and moved with my wife back to Massachusetts where I got a job doing environmental assessment and clean-up for a firm out of Milford. Awesome hours, lots of freedom, but very, very limited opportunity for advancement. After a reorganization, I found myself butting heads with my new manager, and eventually got myself fired for creative use of profanity in a sentence. When my son was born I came home to take care of him since my wife and I felt that day care wasn't a safe environment for a child that couldn't speak or complain (sadly, she and I divorced in 2005).
