Kelley's Story
Life
Hi Everyone...anyone, actually!
My life is pretty much on the normal side. I graduated from Texas Tech where I met my spouse, Chad. He's a workaholic for a company that sells commerical mechanical equipment. I was a 3rd grade Math/Science teacher in NW Houston (Cy-Fair ISD) where we currently reside & love it (except the HUMIDITY! I miss the DRY HEAT of El Paso!!). We had the sweetest little girl ever in May 2001 (Lauren Elizabeth) & I stay home with her. God blessed us with another sweet little girl, Emily Claire, on May 2, 2005.
I would say my personality is still very upbeat & I still enjoy playing a good practical joke on my friends & neighbors, but at the same time, I'm a "mom" and have to act like one! Sometimes my personality & playing "mommy" can be conflicting, but my conservative hubby is very good at bringing me back to reality.
My main goal is to raise my kids until they go to Kindergarten & then I'll see what life has to offer.
We tend to visit EL Paso every summer. My retired parents are still residing there in the same 'ol house making lots of renovations inbetween their travelings. You might catch Lauren & I at Wet n' Wild Waterworld. I don't think I'll EVER get sick of those rides! HA!
As of 2006, I have started up a company with three of my neighbors called forPIXsakes. We specialize in converting all types...Expand for more
of video footage to DVD. My own "nitch" in the company is producing DVD Slideshows using still shot photos to music. I'm also sales and marketing as out of the four of us business partners, I'm the only "extrovert." Does that surprise anyone? My other little moneymaker other than listing stuff I no longer want or need on Ebay, is private tutoring students in grades 1st - 6th. I immensely enjoy working with kids and, at times, feel guilty to be paid for having so much fun.
Lastly, my "oldest" is in Kindergarten. I have my hands in all kinds of volunteer work at her school. Yet, I'm most popular amongst the students as "The Friendly Farney Falcon." Yes, I never made mascot at Coronado as "the T-Bird" (Damn you, Kelly Morris & Kassie Graham for beating me out of the slot!!! Just kidding!), so my mother and I set out to make a Falcon costume using the school colors of red, white and blue. Soooo, it took many years, but I'm finally a BIRD! hee! hee! I'll try to attach a picture in case you would like a good laugh. I'll also attach one of my girls, who still love me, even though I'm so goofy.
