Kelli's Story
Life
Finally earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree in May 2002 at the University of Nebraska. Attended grad school there for two years, then worked as copy editor for the Craig (Colo.) Daily Press out of Steamboat Springs, Colo. Accepted a job as night editor/wire editor at the Daily Inter Lake in Kalispell, Mont., in June 2005, and Seth and I have been here since.
Seth graduated from Steamboat Springs High School in 2005. He plans to attend Montana State University in Bozeman, likely will seek a Bachelor of Science degree. Currently, he's a cashier/sales tech at Best Buy in Kalispell. We are enjoying his discounts.
School
Not much I would change about high school except I would have taken a language. Then I could have avoided Intensive Portuguese in college! Sei la ... My favorite teacher was Carolyn Goodwin; close seconds were Mrs. Fisher, Mr. Tegeler and Mr. Zietz.
Best memories include late nights talking journalism with Kenny, Kevin, Beth, Derba, Lori, Staci, Ingrid, Patty and Carolyn. We accomplished a lot because we had talent, drive, and, most importantly, great staff chemistry.

you're still the best writers I know. Ed, thanks for your friendship and all those nights at Pinball Pete's. You, Kevin and I had some great times there. Ed, remember the time we were waiting for your dad to pick us up downtown and a cop thought we were prostitutes? Too funny! I also remember dancing, dancing, dancing with you and Jim at our favorite Lincoln dance club. Remember that time when I was about seven months pregnant, and you and I walked to the club? It was wintertime, very cold, and the air made me gag and your scarf was choking you. We bleched our way downtown. That memory still makes me laugh!
Workplace
A little of this, a little of that. Worked for Lincoln City Libraries 1983-1991; U.S. Postal Service 1991-1995; newspaper internships at the Fremont (Neb.) Tribune (reporting); the Lincoln Journal Star (editing), The Wall Street Journal (editing/paginating); was chief photojournalist at the Columbus (Neb.) Telegram for a short time; worked in the J-School photo lab at UNL for six years; after some grad-school work at UNL, got newspaper editing jobs in Steamboat Springs, Colo., then in Kalispell, Mont.
