Kelly's Story
After HS I went to SIU and studied Architecture. I quit after my 2nd year because I just had a lot of stuff going on and didn't know what to do. A year later I joined the Army. Primarily to get the money to finish school, but also to get out of the house. I was 20 going on 21 then and it was miserable at home. It turned out to be a great experience. I was active duty for 2 years. When I finished I went back to SIU and picked up where I left off on my architecture degree. I finally got my associates and bachelors degree in 1990.

ince -- it's 19 years this year! Yikes!!! I moved back to the Chicago area in 1994 and I've worked for Gloria Jeans coffees, Pep Boys, and Fifth Third Bank doing construction and development. I really like my work. I just got promoted to Vice President this past summer at my current company, Jones Lang LaSalle.
On a personal note, I am gay (I know, some of you might be shocked, but most of you knew way back when!), but happily single right now. I came out in my mid 30's. I never married nor have I lived with a partner. I live in Villa Park (West suburbs) and I have 2 dogs! We are a warm fuzzy family!!! My 2 younger sisters, Carleen and Tara both have 2 kids - a boy and girl each. I'm really close with my nieces and nephews. They are awesome and life is great!!!
