Kelly's Story
Life
My husband and I got married in June 2001 and have been together since '96. We have no children and aren't planning on it for at least a couple years. We have a 60 pound boxer names Dekstyr who might as well be a small child. I truly think he has half a human brain.
I am currently working in the Detroit office of Sports Illustrated where we sell advertising space to the auto industry. We have tons of fun here and my name sometimes even apprears in the magazine (the closest I'll ever get to being famous).
I've been bowling since I was 6 years old and am still going strong. With the bankruptcy of the WIBC, you won't ever see me on the pro women's tour, but hey, it was worth a shot huh! My husband and I love cars and if we had it our way, would have a 20 car garage...and it would be filled. Unfortunately it's an expensive hobby!!!
Anyway, life is good and I can't complain! I am currently helping plan our 10 year reunion and am looking forward to seeing everyone in June 2004!!!
School
It's amazing how much I miss high school. It seemed that life was so tough back then, and yet I look back now and realize, we had it made in the shade. We didn't have to worry about a job, making money, paying house bills, keeping up with dialy chores...yada ya...Expand for more
da. I'm always trying to instill in my 12 year old niece the importance of enjoying school to it's fullest (she's going on 24, you see). It's incredible how quickly that precious time flies. I wouldn't change much about high school though...except I definitly would have studied harder, tried my best not to take everything so personally, and would have tried not to care so much about what other people thought of me. I certainly hope whatever happens in my life, I never forget the great times that I had...and the lifelong friends that I made! Is that mushy enough for you?
College
Well Ladies and Gents...I'm ten years late, but I'm going back to school. I will be attending the University of Phoenix and will be working towards my Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing. I start on April 29th, 2004 and I'm a little nervouse but VERY excited. I should have done this a long time ago...
Workplace
I work for Time Warner, specifically Sports Illustrated. It's a great job and we have a lot of fun here. We work hard, but we always have time for a good laugh and some chit chat. I have great benefits and very flexible hours. The commute is long, but well worth it. Now that I'm going back to school, hopefully one day I will be out their selling ad space...
