Kelly's Story
Life
I now have 3 teenage boys, ages 16,18, and 20 the youngest lives with his mother in South Carolina. The 18 year old now lives with me here in Hindman, and the 20 year old is engaged to be married in South Carolina. I moved back to Kentucky now about 3 years ago. I am currently living with my younger brother in Knott Co.. I have to completely reaquaint myself with the area and the people that are still here. I've been gone from here now for about 20 years, so there's a lot a catching up to do!
I do just sit and reminisce often, about school and growing up in our little communities, and about my old classmates, and do wonder where most of you are and how things have gone for you since school.
College
After high school, I attended Alice Lloyd College for 1 semester. Transferred to Pikeville College for a while. Went into the Army Reserves for 8 years. Got married, had three boys, and began my own home and family. While in church in South Carolina, I attended Bible College for two years. One year at Tabernacle Baptist Bible College and 1 year at Freedom Baptist Bible College. I currently do not attend church or school anywhere.
Military

y basic and advanced training in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and became a combat engineer, or 12 Bravo. This is the armies, "Jack of all trades", demolition, communication, bridge building under fire, mine fields, chemical and biological warfare, general infantry combat. Just Anything that needs to be done is what I had learned to do. I went overseas to Panama for a while, came back to the states, and focused on my family, so I ended my 8 years with an honorable discharge in November of 1993.
Life in General
I married at 22, had my first son at 23, then at 25 and again at 27. I think that's enough. They are great guys. I've now been divorced for about 4 years, seven years since separation. We fought for custody for about 3 1/2 years. Anyway, I just do the best I can to live life. I've had the opportunities through our short lives, to do quite a few things that most people never get the chance to do, so I took all those that came my way and I'm glad I did. That's enough of that for now.
PS
I'm not as shy as I was back in school, nor even close to the same person. I guess those life experiences made many changes in me over the years. Hopefully for the better.
