Kelly's Story
Life
Well, like everyone else, I got out of high school, took some classes, got married. I got divorced about 4 years ago, and then started my own business.
I am a kiltmaker, and I own a Scottish kilt company (USA Kilts/usakilts.com - my shameless plug) with my signifigant other, Rocky. We make kilts for bagpipers, highland athletes and the everyday guy who feels like he wants to wear a kilt. The fun part of my job is that once in a while I get to manufacture kilts and costumes for Hollywood stars,magazines,movies,TV and concerts (some are: some of the costumes for Madonna and her dancers for her 2004 Reinvention tour, Reno 911, the Dropkick Murphys,...Expand for more
and the 2007 World Series Champs the Boston Red Sox! Woohoo!). Strange, but true. I guess at some point, everyone needs a kilt. :) I also own another clothing company that manufactures handmade and handknit dresses, clothing and accessories for boutiques. I play the Irish fiddle on my downtime, (a good hobby).
I don't have any kids yet, so I am living it up as best as I can for now, and I love it! I travel to Europe frequently (Scotland and Ireland, for business), so I am enjoying what little free time I get overseas. It is really wonderful. I still can't wait to have a family, but this is the life God gave me for now. I can say I am very happy!
