Kelly's Story
Life
Since High School, I have attended school at the University of Idaho, then Boise State. In 1995 I moved to Albuquerque, NM. I took a few classes at the University of New Mexico. I loved living there, enjoying the culture and people I met. But a few years ago my mother became disabled and came to live with me. In 1999 she became very ill with a chronic disease, so we moved back to Idaho in 2000 to be close to family and friends again. I am now living Nampa. I finally finished my degree at BSU, and am working there. My life is filled with children. I've adopted some, and foster some, and some just live with me. It's not the life I had imagined when we were in HS, but I am happy, and love being surrounded by my kids!! Maybe you'll meet a few at the next reunion.
I just wanted to add an update. I have three adult daughters, (adopted) and one has gotten married and had her first child, making me a grandma at the ripe old age of 35. My...Expand for more
daughter was born when I was 15, and those of you who know me well, when I was 15 I didn't think I ever wanted kids. Sometimes it's hard to imagine what my life would be like if she had never come into my life!!
Nov. 2007 Update...well, I'm going to be a grandma again. Kneesaa is having baby number two. I'm also going to be the legal mom to fourmor children. This past summer I was finally able to finalize the adoptoins of Annie and Will. I was expecting to finalize adoptions of Tiffani and Andrew within the year, when we got an unexpected surprise this summer. Andrew's two half sisters were suddenly looking for a new home. Their adoptive placement failed, and since I already had their brother, I took them so siblings could be reunited. Cassie and Sara are adorablbe, and have already won my heart. So now instead of looking ahead at two more adoptions, I'm looking at 4 more adoptions. Call me crazy. I hope you all get to meet them some day!!
