Ken's Story

I retired a few years ago after a 60 year career as a veterinary pathologist. I received my DVM degree from the U of Illinois and my PhD in comparative pathology from the University of California at Davis. I practiced as a professor, a research scientist, and a diagnostician. I taught at the U of Pennsylvania, UC Davis, and Colorado State University. I was a research scientist at Syntex/Roche, Stanford University, Stanford Research Institute (SRI International), Deltagen Corp. t was always fascinating and I was blessed with the opportunity to work with a vast array of God’s creatures from mice to monkeys, from bats to bison, from hares to horses, and from seals to snakes. My wife and I have been married since 1963 and have lived in Philadelphia, Davis CA, London, and Fort Collins CO. For the last 50 years, we have lived in beautiful Los Altos, CA. My memories of RBHS are vivid and pleasant. I feel fortunate to have had the exceptional primary and high school educational opportunities provided in Riverside and at RBHS. And of course, the wonderful friendships that brightened those years.
