Ken's Story
Had a great working life but am now retired. I was a hippie in the years 1969 and 1970. I had the good fortune of attending Woodstock '69 as well as Live Aid 1985 and hearing Freddie Mercury and Queen live at Wembley Stadium. I started studying cosmology early in my life as I found it very intriguing. I was in a band in Vancouver in 1977 called Prism. Our best song then was Spaceship Superstar, of which I wrote the lyrics but not the music. This tune was also used by NASA on the last space shuttle flight. I now play a 6-string Fender acoustic guitar, sing and write some songs. I also do a lot of solo canoeing ...Expand for more
and camping in Algonquin Park. I had a good working life with Government of Canada, Bell Canada, Arctic Resources (Lived in Rankin Inlet Nunavut for 4 years) and finally with an airline in Ottawa called First Air. I have 2 children from a previous marriage. Unfortunately, my wife died a few years ago.
I have now passed the necessary requirements and am a certified survivalist for living in the forest with only some fishing line and my fishing knife for 2 weeks without killing an animal.
Once a hippie, always a hippie, and I have now returned to my hippee image with hair down to my shoulders....and I love it!
