Ken's Story
Life
Graduated from Pace University with an accounting degree - spent two year in the military - one in Vietnam working with refugees - Worked for IBM for thirty-one years from which I retired in 1999 after traveling extensively in Latin America. I am currently working as the Director of Internal Audit for the Jacob Javits Convention Center in NYC. I'm married for over forty years (time flies when you're having fun) and we have one daughter who has graduated from Boston College and Fordham University - has been teaching grammar school for over twelve years and is married with a daughter. Life is still good but thinking about retirement.

In the army I followed the advice of a friend and got into civil affairs. And then with IBM I followed the advice of another friend who thought that I should take a job in Latin America which turned out to be the best job that I had in my thirty-one year career. And then joining the Javits Center came to me on a recommendation of a friend who I had worked with in IBM. I guess the sum of it is that it is good to have friends. Their not always easy to find but they are there if you look hard enough.
