Ken's Story
Hello Fellow Carrickteers...
Life has been filled with wonderful moments, followed by challenging opportunities that has led me to grow to bigger and better person. Colleen and I are currently living in Baltimore and for the most part, have been here since our days on the Pitt campus. We have 3 grown successful children. Two are married, no grandchildren yet.
Career wise, I graduated from Pitt with a Computer Science degree and earned my stripes and stars through many many technology shifts, job changes and an unexpected job relocation to Philly. We are back in Baltimore now where I plan to retire in a few short years to enjoy family, friends and the love of outdoors and (kinda warmer) weather.
Health wise, there is not a day that goes by that I do not have aches and pain. My shoulders are bother me now, probably from overuse. We spend a ton of time in the yard, taking care meticulous ...Expand for more
care of our gardens, trees, swimming pool, ponds....yard debris is never ending and hulling it for compose (yes, we are environmentally friendly), is demanding on that upper body. We hit the gym 3 - 4 times a week to keep us fit and healthy. My wife beside me through yardwork, gym and social activities.
As for looking forward, after we paid our last college tuition payment after 12 years of watching our nest egg dwindle, we followed our neighbors and purchase a waterfront piece of land last year. Over the course of the last year, we worked with a builder to design and build our future home. It was completed over the spring and we spend many wonderful weekends with family, friends and alone making it our own.
Hope everyone is healthy, well, has enjoyed life and sustained through the years. I would welcome a reunion to see everyone for high school reunion – regardless of the time of year.
