Life

I attended my sophomore & junior yrs at Therrell HS, Atlanta,Ga. My senior yr at Munich American HS,(Germany)1966. I was an average student. I loved and excelled in track. I spent my post HS days w/family in Harleysville,Pa.
I accepted Christ as my saviour 31August1967 at Telford Grace Brethren Church. Encouraged by the youth to attend Grace College in Winona Lake, Ind. I enrolled in the Spring'68. Excelled in sports failed in studies. Volunteered for the draft and served in the Army in Germany'69-'71.(Vietnam War Era).
I returned to Grace College in the Fall'71. Met Karen Karfit Fall'72. Married her Oct 27'73, one day before my 25th birthday(official bachelorhood),at Fremont,Oh. Grace Brethren Chapel.1st son,Chris, 11/13/74.
Worked for 5 yrs at Union Carbide making batteries,hated it.
Returned to Grace College Spring '78. 2nd son, James,1/20/79
Graduated BS/Phys.Ed. Minors in Bible,Psych.,Health,&coaching,'81.
Taught 1yr at Kokomo Christian Sch.,Kokomo,Ind. Loved being the athletic director and coaching, tough year teaching Bible, Health, and P.E. Burned out and underpaid!

ing for a teaching position took on a security officer job and have been doing it ever since.
9yrs in Houston then 9yrs in Melbourne, Florida. Now 2 1/2yrs in Winston-Salem,N.C. Karen got her BA in Organizational Behaviour and a national certification in Florida as an activities director in nursing and assisted living centers.
She is pursuing a nursing degree and her masters in Gerontology here in NC. We both work for Baptist Hospital here in Winston-Salem. I am hoping to establish a homebased business. Chris,28, and James,24, are single and still live at home and are pursuing careers in culinary arts and animated computer graphics respectively.
We have a purebred beagle hound named Sally,a pure Russian blue minx (no tail) named Maxwell, and a longhaired tiger cat named Molly who weighs 18lbs! When we give her a poodle cut she looks like a minature lion!
I love to golf and we live in a nice 2800 sq.ft. home on 3/4 of an acre only a half mile from one golf course and 1 1/2 mi. from another. God has been good to me and my family! If you remember me from HS or college e-mail me and reminisce about the good ole days!
