Ken's Story
Life
Well we are 62 and if you are reading this; we are still 'a' tickin,
Shirley, me and my mother-in-law (mom) took a Caribbean Cruise to celebrate our 40th anniversary and mom's 80th birthday. That is the now picture. My daughter is married with two children. She works for a construction company as a Quality Control Manager and Trainer. She also writes and edits short stories. She has a great husband, who has been on his own since age 14. He is a Manager at WhataBurger restaurant. My son recently left Florida for Chicago, IL. He works for a stock trading company as a Computer Network Engineer and Administrator. He is married and has a wounerful wife he met in high school. His wife is a Dental Hygienist and they have no children. My wife and I did a role reversal. She st...Expand for more
ill works. She writes govrnment contracts at Eglin, Air Force Base for civilan contractors bidding on projects. I am the stay at home dad. I keep occupied being on the City Planing and Rezoning Board, the Election Commitee during voting cycles and a Citizens Commitee for Water Conservation. I also help my neighbors doing odd jobs. And the main reason for staying home. To take mother-in-law any where she wants to go!!! I call her mom (she really is like a mom to me) and has been living with us for the last six years. She is 82 years old now and can't drive; which drives her crazy. But she made that decision, when she had a couple very close calls and it scared her so much she decided it was time to quit. That's pretty much it and I still haven't won the darn lotto down here.
