Kenneth P.'s Story
Life
I was born in Glendale, CA and attended elementary school (R.G. Jones) in Cleveland, OH until 1958. My family moved to Scottsdale, AZ and I attended Kiabab elementary from '58 (4th grade) through '63 (8th grade). My parents moved back to Cleveland and I went off to military school (Oklahoma Military Academy) in Claremore, OK. I graduated in 1967 as Salutatorian of my class and returned to Ohio to attend college at Ohio Northern University (Ada, Ohio).
I was married during college and have two children (Robin & Jason). I received my degree (accounting/finance major) and went to work for my Father who owned a chain of drug stores in northern Ohio (Medic Discount Drug Centers). My Father sold the business and then I went to work for McGean-Rohco, Inc,, an international chemical manufacturer. I became VP of Finance and traveled to many foreign countries (So. n Executive MBA from Baldwin-Wallace College in Cleveland, Ohio. I also obtained my private pilots license and purchased a Piper Arrow PA-28 aircraft.
After 12 years at McGean-Rohco, I joined Safemasters, Inc. (1989) located in Washington, DC, as Sr. VP of Finance. I held a couple other executive positions in the DC area between 1995 and 2002. I relocated to Fort Lauderdale, FL in 2002 and currently do merger and acquisition consulting work. I have five grandchildren (Brittany - 32; Samantha - 31; Jena - 31; and Max - 24. I have one great grandchild, Lucas, who is 2 years old, I also have a daughter, Isabella - 14). I enjoy tennis, travel, flying and astronomy.
College
Attended Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio (near Lima, Ohio) from 1968 through 1972. I graduated with a BS degree in Accounting. In 1984, I decided to go back to school for a Masters degree. I attended Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio and received an Executive MBA in 1986.
