Ken Strite:  

Served the United States of America in military (US Air Force, USAF Reserve, and Ohio and KY Air National Guard) and civil service for over 40 years. Lead Quality Assurance Specialist (Retired) employed by NASA for 29 years at Kennedy Space Center. Spent 4 years assigned to the Launch Pad Crew and a total of 22 years working on the Space Shuttle. Member of the Astronaut Closeout Crew (Closed out STS 98 and STS 105). Most recently involved in the Orion program (Profile picture is the EFT-1 Crew Module when it arrived at Kennedy Space Center), NASA's next manned spacecraft. Also prepared the Shuttles for display at various sites around the country. Married for 37 years to Laura Doering from Mt. Lookout. I own, maintain, and fly an experimental BD-4 airplane and have an FAA airframe and powerplant certificate as well as being an instrument rated pilot.
