Ken's Story
Ken lives in Arvada, Colorado with his wife-Cynthia. They have lived in Colorado since 1975 when Ken started his career with the City of Westminster Parks & Recreation Department. Cynthia retired from Adams County School District 50 after 30 years in education. In 2013, Ken retired from his parks and golf management position with Westminster after 38 years.
After graduating from Wheeler Central HS in 1968, Ken was in the US Army in 1970-71. After his service he attended Kearney State College on a football scholarship and the GI bill. He graduated in 1975 with a BS in Recreation Administration. Cynthia received her BA and Masters at Kearney State College, now called University of Nebraska-Kearney--or UNK. They moved to Colorado immediately after graduation.

avid competitive softball player until he reached 50 years old and also loves hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He has been to Alaska 4 times and has caught some great salmon and halibut.
Ken and Cynthia have a daughter-Kendra. She was a college soccer player and attended New Mexico University and Colorado State University.
Updated September 2017. Kendra, her husband Craig, their 5 year old daughter Charlotte and 1 year old Cooper also live in Arvada. Grandma and Papa cherish Charlotte and Cooper, and are blessed to have Kendra and her family so close.
Ericson and Wheeler County was a great place to grow up. Miss the many friends from high school and the community. Now that we are retired we hope to get back to the Sandhills, the Cedar River and the little Village of Ericson more often.
