Ken Wigg:  

A Brief Summary of My Life: I was born Kenneth Vance Lather on April 3, 1960 to Dale Darwin Lather and Linda Lou Kimpel in Defiance, Ohio, 30 miles west of where we lived in Napoleon, Ohio. I was the 2nd of 4 children, and attended Kindergarten - 3rd grade in Napoleon, OH. Dale and Linda Lather divorced in 1968; my older brother, Tim, and youngest sister, Krissy, soon moved to upstate New York with our mother, Linda and her current boyfriend, Don. My sister, Linary and I stayed in Napoleon, Ohio for 1 more year with father, Dale and his new wife Jean McDaniel and stepsister, Brenda, and annoying stepbrother, Steve. In early 1969, my sister, Linary and I rode a train from Toledo, Ohio to Utica, NY to live in Richfield Springs, NY with our mother, Linda, her boyfriend, Don, my brother, Tim and sister, Krissy. That house was accidentally burned to the ground as my brother and I splashed what turned out to be "white gas" down the outdoor cellar steps. Mom met a new boyfriend, Hyrum Ward, who moved us all to Pomona Park, FL in the summer of 1969. My siblings and I attended Crescent City Elementary School for the 1969-1970 school year. We then moved to Palatka, FL in the summer of 1970 and all 4 "Lather" kids were adopted in July, by Gene and Lucille Wigg; I didn't care for the name "Wigg" at first, but, what can a 10-year-old do? Attended Campbell Elementary for 5th garde, Palatka Middle School grades 6-8, Palatka South High School grades 9-11, and the new Palatka High School for 12th grade. Graduated in 1978.
