ice to pursue a new career in writing. It's not easy to break in as a writer, but I'm working at it. Right now I'm trying to find an agent or publisher for a novel I've written, and I'm about to start work on a nonfiction book about Hurricane Hugo (if you have a good Hugo story, I'd love to hear from you). These days I draw as much pleasure out of coaching my sons' soccer teams as from anything else. I get down to SC 3-4 times a year to see my mother, who still lives near Columbia, and my father, who lives in Charleston, and we usually spend a week of vacation at Kiawah in the summer. I always enjoy running into other Keenanites, both here and in SC, and I'm heartened by the life successes so many of our classmates have had.
